The EPS Conferences team has more than 21 years of experience in managing and coordinating regional, national, and international training and conferences for non-profit associations and corporations at hotels and convention centers across the world. We recognize every event is different, and we strive to tailor and organize meetings that exceed each client’s expectations. We have the expertise to utilize social media and other promotional tools to enhance awareness, build excitement, and ultimately increase attendance. We take pride in helping our clients save time and money by allowing them to concentrate on their priorities, while we provide professional and friendly support services and supervision of the conference logistics.

Melissa Thurber


Melissa Thurber brings more than a decade of experience working on all aspects of conference coordination. At EPS Conferences, she started with managing vendor interaction—from contract negotiation and onsite support to tabletop displays and large-scale exhibits. Melissa’s expertise in building relationships with clients, vendors, and sponsors ensures their experience with EPS Conferences is worth their investment.

In July 2023, after the passing of the company founder, Linda Hoover, Melissa became the new owner and president of the company. Born and raised in Ohio, she’s an avid Ohio State fan and a graduate of the University of Dayton. As a retired Marine spouse, Melissa has lived in seven different states and Okinawa, Japan, and has been fortunate to travel to even more places. She currently lives in Tampa, Florida.

Jennifer Miller

Social Media Manager

Jennifer Miller oversees the social media for all of our clients. She works to develop content and market their events. Jennifer’s well-rounded expertise makes her an asset to any event planning team.

Jen is a Missouri farm girl, who moved to Hawaii to marry her husband when he was stationed there with the Navy. She obtained her bachelor’s from Columbia College and her master’s from Liberty University. Her two boys keep her very busy as do the two masters of the home, Maui and Reggie. She and her family currently live in Evans, GA, and look forward to what comes with military retirement in a few years!

Bobbie Harris

Project Manager

Bobbie Harris has more than a decade of experience in project and event management. At EPS Conferences, she oversees event registration, ensuring conference participants have a seamless experience from start to finish. In addition, Bobbie’s dedication to stellar customer service and problem-solving make her a valued member of the EPS team.

Bobbie has lived all over the world as a military spouse, with a favorite location being Iwakuni, Japan, and enjoys traveling, volunteering, and reading historical fiction in her spare time. She currently lives in Maryville, TN.

Linda Hoover

Founder of Event Planning Solutions

Linda started Event Planning Solutions in 2005, and capitalizing on her strength with logistics, she grew EPS into a successful small business and hosted events throughout the country and many international destinations. She passed away on December 15, 2022, and left behind an incredible legacy. Anyone blessed enough to know her felt her love when in her presence. She loved her family, Anela (pictured), friends, and this company.

In addition to the company principals, EPS Conferences maintains flexibility to the needs of the clients with the assistance of a network of talented professionals.
